Day 253: Working with Chaos

Day 253

Dear Finrod,

It's me yet again. Things are starting to go kind of smoothly and the good news is that my wing is nearly healed. I arrived in some kind of underground HQ but the problem was it was being attacked. I saw a human with a triple-barreled pistol in his right hand and his left hand was a claw. He was fighting against soldiers wearing black outfits with blue stripes running down the body, legs, forearm and hands. I hung back as he was nearly finished with the skirmish.

He suddenly pointed his gun in my direction, glared at me and demanded to know who I was. I calmly walked out of the shadows and told him everything except for my quest. He told me his name was Vincent Valentine. We continued through the HQ until we came to a short hallway leading to a chamber. A female ninja named Yuffie came down from the rafters when Vincent called her name.

She was more concerned about Vincent than me but I'd expect that. We all looked to the doorway ahead, wondering what's inside. Vincent and Yuffie took the lead while I brought up the rear. The place gave me the creeps but I've been in worse places. When we walked into the chamber we beheld a slumped figure in a chair. Vincent wondered if the figure was Weiss the leader of the Tsviets. Yuffie asked Vincent if he was dead. "But not for long." said a voice from behind us. We turned around and saw a guy with metal wings. I saw that it was Nero the sable.

The machine that Weiss was sitting in suddenly came to life, merging Omega with Weiss' body. He confronted Vincent mainly but took very little notice of me, a big mistake on his part. It seems that a scientist named Hojo was after possessing Weiss' body due to the worldwide network. Both Vincent and I battled him to a standstill, hitting him with everything we got. About 30-60 minutes later, Nero emerges from the lifestream and pulls Hojo inside. He then merged with a weakened Weiss to help him fuse with Omega.

Vincent suddenly became a form known as Chaos while my rage turned me into something similar but we had the same goal, kicking Omega's ass. We both flew towards the huge form of Omega and we suddenly flew like homing missiles towards it. We managed to kill Omega's form but I completely forgot about Weiss. I looked at my watch and saw that I had only 30 seconds left.

"Vincent, I've got to go. Tell the others that Draco gave his life to save the planet." I said to him. He nodded and went to finish was Weiss started. I really wished that I could stay in case Envy showed up. Before I opened a portal, I saw Vincent starting the final fight against Omega Weiss. Looking at my watch I had only 5 seconds left. I opened the portal and made my getaway.

I've got to go. I need to check on my wings. They're still a tiny bit tender but that flight I took with Vincent exercised them a lot.
