Day 281: Hero meets God

Day 281

Dear Finrod,

It has been a long journey so far and both my feet and wings are about ready to give out on me. Then again the sneaky elvish magic doesnftft help either. Anyway I arrived at the entrance to the Underworld and my PDA said that Ifve to meet Hercules. I decided to check my ammunition only to find that it was low. No guns for me this time. I had to use my swords instead in this world

I waited for what seemed like hours when Hercules came along. Luckily I waved the white flag since hefd defeat me easily with his godly strength. I made the introductions and vice versa and we teamed up together. We entered the Passageways of Eternal Torment and began our run through them. We jumped over a pit filled with the dead. Next we had to dodge fireballs being shot from Hadesf chariot. We were forced to dodge a huge boulder coming towards us (Damn you Harrison Ford).

We had to run past ghosts and skeletons for our next obstacles. After that it was stalactites and even more fireballs from the damn chariot. We ran to the right since there was a black dragon breathing fire from the left. Then came the falling rocks and we dodged them easily enough although one caught my tail tip. Another boulder and more ghosts came towards us that we were forced to dodge yet again. I almost got skewered by a stalactite which was falling from the roof of the cavern again. More spirits glided towards us which Hercules dodged easily while they left me feeling cold. We eventually came to a fork in the road and we took the right passage. We jumped across another pit and dodged three black dragons breathing fire from the left and the right.

Another boulder came along with more spirits. We eventually made it to the Vortex of Souls where Hades awaited our arrival. He floated up onto a ledge to the left and shot a blue fireball at us causing us to run to the right to dodge it while every now and then a couple of fireballs rained down from above. Hades floated down to our level giving us a chance to attack. We slashed him with our swords causing him to flinch and get a tiny bit weaker. Hades tried the same tactic but we ran after him, climbed onto the ledge he was on and slashed him twice. He floated to the floor with us close behind. We slashed him once again causing him to growl in pain. Both me and Hercules fought Hades for what seemed like eternity but we eventually managed to defeat him.

Hercules dove into the vortex of souls to get his girlfriendfs soul back. We left and I suddenly noticed that Hercules became a genuine god just by sacrificing his own life to save his lover. Maybe therefs hope for me and Aquatica yet. His girlfriend came back to life after a few moments. I began to walk away only to be stopped by Hercules. gI couldnft have done it without you, Draco.h he said. gSure you couldfve. Youfre the son of Zeus after all.h I replied. I said goodbye to Hercules and his friends and made my trademark exit.

Ifve got to go. My pizza is getting cold.
